The General tab
The General tab contains the basic settings of the Regime and document templates. The fields are explained in the table below.
Field | Function |

Periodicity | Select the periodicity of project calculation. It should match the periodicity of financial terms. |
Currency | Select the currency which will be used for calculations. |
Choose Economic Limit | This option should be set to <None> since FINANCIALS does not perform any economic calculations. |
Enable parallel calculation | This option allows parallel calculation of Result Sets which use the Regime. For additional information, see Parallel calculations matrix. |
Choose Weighting Variable | This option should be set to <None>. |
Project Template | Click on the arrow button to open the menu which is explained below. For information about how to edit the template, see Create a project template. |
Contract Template | Contract Terms templates are being phased out and are available for reference only. Contract templates are created in the same way as project templates. |
Start Year | Select the year when the financial terms begin to apply. |
Inflation Date | Specify the inflation date if the financial terms contain amounts in real currency. |
Comments | Enter additional information about the Regime, such as its purpose or special terms. |
If you click on the arrow on the Manage Template button, a menu will be displayed. The menu options are explained in the table below.

Open | Opens the selected document. |
Delete | Deletes the selected document. |
Copy from Regime | Copies the selected document from another Regime into the opened Regime. |
Copy to Regimes | Copies the selected document from the opened Regime into other Regime(s). |
The Choose Optional WI Categories table contains the list of working interest categories to which Regime variables belong. WI categories are specified in the Variable Definitions window and cannot be changed in the Regime (see Variable Definitions). If the Is Optional box is checked, then WI shares for that category do not have to add up to 100%.
